When I dropped off my luggage, the staff didn’t leave the front desk; they wrote a number on a paper receipt and handed it to me, and I had to decide where to store it in the room and put it there myself. When picking up my luggage, I handed the receipt to the front desk and retrieved my bag myself, but since they didn’t check the number, I wondered if I could have taken someone else’s luggage without anyone noticing. I think it would be fine if the staff actually remembered and kept track of each guest’s check-in number and where their luggage was stored.
