Oxford Train Station is one station on the line between London Paddington and Hereford via Worcester Shrub Hill. The station was opened in 1844 and currently has 4 platforms where you can catch two trains per hour into London or a train from Oxford Train Station to Westgate. Trains also run from Oxford Train Station to Oxford University regularly throughout the day.

Directions from Oxford Station
From Oxford Station to Ashmolean Musem: To get to the Ashmolean Museum from Oxford Station, exit the station and head east on Park End Street. Continue walking for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the large roundabout. Take the second exit onto Beaumont Street and continue straight ahead for about 5 minutes. You will see the majestic façade of the Ashmolean Museum on your right.
Alternatively, if you prefer a scenic route, you can walk through the picturesque Christ Church Meadow. Walk south from the station, cross the Folly Bridge, and enter the meadow. Enjoy a pleasant stroll for approximately 15 minutes until you reach St Aldates. From there, head north on Beaumont Street, and the Ashmolean Museum will be on your left.
From Oxford Station to Oxford University: From Oxford Station, walk southeast on Park End Street towards Frideswide Square for around 0.2 miles. Turn right onto Hythe Bridge Street and continue for about 0.4 miles. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Worcester Street and walk for 0.3 miles. Then, turn left onto George Street and continue straight for 0.2 miles until you reach Cornmarket Street. Turn right onto Cornmarket Street and walk for approximately 0.3 miles. Finally, turn left onto Broad Street, and Oxford University will be on your right-hand side after a short walk of around 0.1 miles.
From Oxford Station to Oxford Castle: To get from Oxford Station to Oxford Castle, start by heading southwest on Park End Street. After a short walk, take a right onto Castle Street. Continue straight until you reach a roundabout, where you will take the second exit onto Oxpens Road. Follow Oxpens Road for about 500 meters until you reach another roundabout. Take the second exit onto Thames Street and continue straight for approximately 300 meters. Then, take a left onto New Road and after a short walk, you will see Oxford Castle on your left-hand side. The journey should take around 10-15 minutes on foot.
